Beauty Box 5: Review

Hi dolls! Recently I was contacted by a Beauty Box 5 representative asking if I would like to receive a Beauty Box 5 in exchange for an honest review, so of course I had to say yes! I love being able do reviews & give you guys my honest opinion so here it goes!

At first glance I immediately thought of the box as super cute, I love the color choice as well as their logo. However one thing that I noticed was that the box was no reusable like those from other subscription services. This for me was a bummer because i’m always running out of storage space for my beauty products/samples/tools etc so it would have been nice if they had made the package reusable.

As far as the samples here is my take on each of them:

The Travalo: When I started looking through the box I freaked & I mean FREAKED when I saw the Travelo in this beauty sample box! I thought it was not only cute but definitely something that any Beauty Box 5 Subscriber would enjoy, I mean who wouldn’t like to have this little handy tool to travel with their favorite perfume without having to haul around their perfume bottle? *ps. I will be doing a seperate review on this product so make sure you look out for that ;)

Mango Milk Hair treatment:
I haven’t tried this yet, because lately I’ve been getting my hair done at the salon but I defintely love hair treatments especially since my hair was so damaged even though I chopped 4 inches off I am trying to take better care of my hair so that It can grow much more healthier. This is a pretty standard size sample for people with short or medium hair but for those with longer hair I’m not sure if they’ll be able to get a 2nd use from it.

Psssssst Dry Shampoo: I received this in another beauty subscription box before & enjoy using it from time to time, I love the size that came in Beauty Box 5 it’s perfect for travel when you don’t have all of your styling tools available.

Supergoop SPF 30: I love anything that contains SPF, this super goop contains an SPF of 30 which is great in my opinion. Although I love looking tan I don’t like actually tanning & prefer sunless tanning methods. I like to protect my skin from UV rays which can not only be bad for your skin but can also cause pre-mature signs of aging. In my opinion Spf Samples are always something i look forward too :D

Skyn Iceland: I’m not really sure what this was suppose to do? Maybe relax your skin, or prevent wrinkles? It was a pretty small sample size, I honestly have not used it yet.

Becca Eye Tint: To be completely honest this product really had me wondering what it was for,  it did it not come with directions on the sample itself  & I did not see a descriptive sample card which some subscription box services do provide so I had to Google what is was & how to use it (time consuming). Overall I haven’t actually used this product yet but will test it out on Mother’s day :) I’ll keep you guys updated on this post whether i like it or not.

Welda Almond Lotion: I love the pink package & how this sample makes my face feel but the smell (though not too bad) instantly made me wash it off.  If you are sensitive to certain smells in face products I would avoid this one!

Overall I have to say most of the samples I enjoyed & I still can’t get over how they included the Travelo in the box. If they were to change the box to one that would be reusable & provide description cards for the samples that don’t have any directions on them I would rate them an A+

Have you heard of Beauty Box 5? Are you a Subscriber let me know your thoughts on this subscription service in the comments :D

  1. WOW! This is awesome. (I wonder if this is a special press Kit as you received 7 substantial items.) Either way, I’m having fun with this service and I can’t wait to read your reviews!
    xoxo

  2. It’s funny… my favourite part about this service is: it’s no frills and no promises, so I never feel let down. I know I’m getting foils and I am completely ok with that! It’s not the emotional roller coaster Birchbox puts you on. xoxo

    • Lol yeah I couldn’t deal with birchbox’s emotional roller coaster ride after a yr I gave it up lol have you tried My Glam? I heard great things about it

      • MyGlam? No. They are a hot mess of a company. Something tells me that they are going to get out of the sampling business and get into videos – like Beautylish. Check out their LinkedIn page. lol. ;-)
